Vizio M-Series Quantum X (MQX, 2022-2023): quick sheet
Covers: Vizio M-Series Quantum X 4K TVs: 50, 65 and 75 in (for example M50QXM-K01, M65QXM, M75QXM). Generation suffix varies; check the label.
Vizio's step-up quantum-dot LCD with full-array local dimming, SmartCast, four HDMI 2.1 inputs (one eARC). Only the 50 in model accepts 240 Hz, and only at 1080p; bigger sizes top out at 4K 120 Hz. Zone count is modest (about 30-32), so blooming and uneven dimming are normal behavior.
Safety first
- Unplug and wait before opening.
- Two-person panel handling.
- Live tests on the power board are caution work.
How it works
Full-array LED backlight split into a few dozen dimming zones; dark blocks or a dead row point to LED strips or the LED driver.
SmartCast runs on the main board; most 'no apps', 'no network' and boot problems are software-side first (power cycle, update, then factory reset).
eARC on one HDMI input passes Dolby Atmos and DTS:X to a soundbar or receiver.
