Covers: TCL QM7 (2024) Google TVs: 55QM751G, 65QM751G, 75QM751G, 85QM751G, 98QM751G. Replaced by the QM7K (2025); check the model letter before ordering boards.
Mid-range mini-LED with a 120 Hz panel that accepts up to 144 Hz VRR, Google TV, Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Up to 1,500+ dimming zones depending on size (RTINGS counted 1,248 on the unit it tested). Mini-LED repair blocks: power board, LED driver, mini-LED backlight boards, main board.
Safety first
- Unplug and wait before opening.
- Two-person handling for 65 in and up; the 98 in needs a team and proper lifting.
- Live tests on power board or LED driver are caution work.
How it works
Power board feeds the main board (Google TV, HDMI) and the LED driver; the main board sends zone dimming data to the backlight.
Mini-LED zones sit behind the diffuser; a dead zone shows as a dark block on a white field, and blooming around bright objects is normal behavior, not a fault.
144 Hz is a VRR ceiling for PCs/consoles, not the panel's fixed refresh rate.
