LG OLED B-Series (B2 / B3 / B4): quick sheet
Covers: LG's entry OLED line: B2 (2022, e.g. OLED65B2PUA), B3 (2023, OLED55B3PUA, OLED65B3PUA, OLED77B3PUA) and B4 (2024, 48-83 in, e.g. OLED65B4PUA, OLED83B4PUA). The C-Series has its own sheet.
LG WOLED panels with a simpler processor than the C-Series (B3: alpha 7 Gen6; B4: alpha 8) and lower brightness. Repair blocks match other LG OLEDs: power board, main board, panel timing board, OLED panel. Gaming support changes by year: B3 has only two full HDMI 2.1 inputs, B4 has four.
Safety first
- Unplug and wait before opening.
- OLED panels crack if flexed; two people, full support.
- Power-board live tests are caution work.
How it works
The power board supplies standby and panel rails; the main board (webOS) feeds the timing board, which drives the OLED panel. No backlight to fail.
Short compensation cycles run after the set is turned off with the remote; a long Pixel Cleaning runs on a schedule or on demand. Unplugging the set as a habit skips them.
Burn-in is panel wear. Lines or blocks that stay after Pixel Cleaning point to the panel or timing electronics.
