Faber Inca insert and Stratus ceiling/island hoods (US): quick sheet
Covers: Faber US-market Inca cabinet inserts (Inca SD INSD35SSV, Inca Pro INSP28SS240 / INSP28SS600, Inca In-Light INLT21SSV / INLT28SSV) and Stratus Isola ceiling/island hoods (STRTIS36SSV; STRTIS48 / STRTIS36 'NB' versions ship without a blower).
Italian-brand hoods common in custom kitchens. Most Inca and Stratus models in the listings are 600 CFM with a 6 in round duct and four speeds; a 240 CFM Inca Pro with a 5 in duct also exists. 'NB' models need a separately bought blower, so 'no airflow' on a new install can mean no blower was installed. 600 CFM is over the 400 CFM makeup-air threshold in the IRC; see the makeup-air guide. Deep diagnostics: ducted vs recirculating hood field manual and insert hood manuals.
Safety first
- Breaker off before opening; ceiling units need two people to lower.
How it works
Inca units drop into a custom hood shell or cabinet; the blower and controls are in the insert.
Stratus Isola mounts flush to the ceiling over an island; some versions have Wi-Fi and a remote.
Variable Air Management and a delay shut-off appear on several listings.
