Samsung FlexWash (two washers in one cabinet): field service manual

Covers: Samsung FlexWash washers (WV-series, about 2016-2020) with a small top-load upper washer above a full front-load washer. Discontinued; parts still available. Series names only.

FlexWash puts a roughly 1 cu ft top-loading washer on top of a roughly 5 cu ft front-loader in one 27-inch cabinet. Each washer runs on its own and can run at the same time. Codes are shown for either section: a leading 1 marks the upper washer (for example 1 4C) and the same code without it is the lower washer.

How it works

Lower washer: a standard Samsung front-loader with door lock, inlet valve, level sensor, inverter motor, drain pump and debris filter. Codes follow the normal Samsung list (4C supply, 5C drain, UB imbalance, LC leak, dC door).

Upper washer: a small top-loading drum with its own top door, a protective inner cover, door switch and water supply. Its codes carry a 1 in front (1 dC top door open, 1 dC4 protective cover open, 1 4C water supply, 1 5C drain).

Shared items: both sections share the cabinet, water hookups and drain hose, so a supply or drain problem can affect both. LC/LC1 point to leak detection or a drain hose issue.

When a code appears, note which display section shows it before testing parts.
