Genie StealthDrive / SilentMax belt-drive openers (Aladdin Connect): quick sheet
Covers: Genie current belt-drive DC openers: StealthDrive 7055 / 7035 family and SilentMax 7155 (LED, Connect). One owner manual covers several current models. Confirm with the model label.
Genie's mainstream belt openers sold at big-box stores. DC motor, Intellicode rolling-code security, Safe-T-Beam infrared sensors and Aladdin Connect Wi-Fi. Troubleshooting focuses on Safe-T-Beam LEDs, limits and force controls.
Safety first
- Springs and cables blocked.
- Run the contact reverse test after any force/limit change.
- In an emergency the door can be held closed with the wall console button held down.
How it works
DC motor drives a steel-reinforced belt on a sectional rail (about 119 in installed); opens a 7 ft door, 8 ft needs the extension kit.
Safe-T-Beam: the red LED should be on and steady; a flashing red LED signals a sensor problem.
If the door starts down then reverses, check Safe-T-Beam wiring and LEDs, the limits, door binding and the open/close force settings.
Integrated battery backup on SilentMax Connect models (up to about 50 cycles).
