Vizio P-Series Quantum / Quantum X (2019-2022): quick sheet
Covers: Vizio P-Series Quantum and Quantum X (e.g. PX65-G1, PX75-G1, P65QX-H1, P85QX-J01) full-array local-dimming sets on SmartCast.
Vizio's high-end full-array LCD line with a high zone count for its time (reviews report 384 zones on the 65-inch and 480 on the 75-inch 2019 sets, 792 on the 85-inch J model). Common work: backlight strings, power/backlight connectors, T-con and SmartCast hangs.
Safety first
- Unplug and wait before opening.
- Powered power-board and LED driver tests are caution work.
- Two-person panel handling.
How it works
Power board, SmartCast main board, T-con and a dense full-array backlight. The main board tells the power board when to turn the backlight on, so 'no backlight' can be the power board, the main board enable signal or the strips.
SmartCast is Vizio's OS; reviewers note it can hang. A soft power cycle (Settings menu, or unplug and hold the power key) clears most freezes.
Button factory reset reported by several guides: hold Input + Volume Down about 10-15 s, then hold Input when prompted. Treat this as model-dependent.
