Samsung WF45T6000-series front-load washer: quick sheet
Covers: WF45T6000AW (white) and WF45T6000AV (black stainless), marketed as WF6000T, about 2020 onward (Samsung spec sheets revised through 2023; model-year letter T = 2020). Rated 4.5 cu ft DOE in the US (5.2 cu ft IEC on Canadian pages).
A 27-inch entry/mid front-loader with VRT Plus, Self Clean+ and Smart Care, without the steam of the R6100. It shares the platform layout of other 2019-2022 Samsung 27-inch front-loaders, and repair shops group it with the WF45 series for parts and failures. Deep diagnostics: see the Samsung front-load washer field service manual.
Safety first
- Unplug the washer and shut both water taps before opening any panel.
- Drain the tub (and the pump filter on front-loaders) into a shallow pan before pulling hoses; water may be hot.
- Live-voltage checks at the control or valve connectors are caution work: insulated probes, one hand, no jewelry.
- Get help lifting: these cabinets weigh well over 100 lb on the spec sheets.
How it works
Load sensing, fill through the dispenser and level reading from the pressure sensor work as on other Samsung 27-inch front-loaders; the control heats water with an internal heater on hot cycles where fitted (check the tech sheet for the exact build).
The direct-drive motor (Samsung lists a direct-drive motor on the spec sheet) ramps to 1,200 rpm. Spin selections are High, Medium High, Medium, Low and No Spin.
Door lock and unlock follow drum stop and level checks. Smart Care lets the owner read error codes with the Samsung app, which is useful when the customer reports a code you did not see.
