Electrolux premium appliances: what differs from Frigidaire
Covers: Electrolux-branded front-load washers and dryers, French-door refrigerators and dishwashers sold in the US. Use together with the Frigidaire / Electrolux manuals in the washer, dryer, refrigerator and dishwasher sections.
Electrolux is the premium badge on the same parent-company platforms as Frigidaire. For field work the mechanical base (tub and drum, suspension, drive, door lock, pumps) and the error-code families are largely shared, so most Frigidaire diagnostics carry over. The differences are mainly in feature hardware (steam, detergent pre-mixing, extra sensors) and in the control boards that run them. Do not assume a part fits across brands: always order by full model and serial number.

How it works
Error codes: Electrolux front-load washers use the same E-code family as Frigidaire front-loaders (E1x fill, E2x drain, E3x pressure/level, E4x door, E5x motor, E6x heater, EFx foam/drain). See the existing Frigidaire / Electrolux washer codes.
Feature hardware: premium washers add options such as steam and a detergent pre-mix (SmartBoost) on top of the shared drivetrain. Extra feature hardware usually means a more complex and more expensive control board.
Spin speed: some Electrolux models list a higher spin speed than the closest Frigidaire. Owners have reported the same motor and motor board in both; confirm by part number before assuming.
Heater: US front-loaders heat on 120 V, so heat-up is slow (roughly 1 °F per minute is a forum estimate). Long sanitize/steam cycles are normal, not a fault.
