Samsung WF45R6100-series front-load washer: quick sheet
Covers: WF45R6100AW (white), WF45R6100AP (platinum), WF45R6100AV (black stainless) and WF45R6100AC (champagne), marketed as WF6100R / WF6000R, sold about 2019-2022 (Samsung product and spec pages; model-year letter R = 2019).
A 27-inch, 4.5 cu ft (DOE) front-loader with VRT Plus vibration control, steam and an internal water heater. It is one of the most installed Samsung front-loaders of its era, usually paired with the DVE45R6100 / DVG45R6100 dryer. Deep diagnostics: see the Samsung front-load washer field service manual.
Safety first
- Unplug the washer and shut both water taps before opening any panel.
- Drain the tub (and the pump filter on front-loaders) into a shallow pan before pulling hoses; water may be hot.
- Live-voltage checks at the control or valve connectors are caution work: insulated probes, one hand, no jewelry.
- Get help lifting: these cabinets weigh well over 100 lb on the spec sheets.
How it works
The control weighs the load by spinning the drum briefly, fills through the dispenser via the inlet valve, and reads level from the pressure sensor. The internal heater raises water temperature for hot and sanitize cycles, and steam is made for steam options.
A direct-drive brushless motor turns the drum; a hall sensor reports speed so the control can ramp to the 1,200 rpm top spin. VRT Plus adds balancing to reduce vibration, but out-of-balance detection still drops spin speed or shows an unbalance code.
The door locks at start and releases only when the drum has stopped and the level is safe. Self Clean+ runs a hot tub-cleaning routine and the control reminds the user periodically.
