Manitowoc NEO 140 / 190 undercounter cube ice machines (UD-0140A, UY-0140A, UR-0140A, UD/UY-0190A): quick sheet
Covers: Manitowoc NEO 26 in wide air-cooled undercounter cubers with a built-in 90 lb bin: U-140 (UR regular, UD dice, UY half-dice) and U-190 (UD dice, UY half-dice). Common in bars, offices and high-end residential. Later SKUs (UDF0140A, UYF0140A, UDP0140A with integrated filter) are related; check their own spec sheets.
Light-commercial self-contained cuber with a forward-sliding bin for access to the refrigeration parts, a removable water trough, distribution tube and damper door for cleaning, and a front panel with Power, Delay, Clean, Full Bin and Service lights. Calls: Clean light / slow production from scale, Service light, bin-full sensing, hot locations (air in right, out left), and water pressure outside its range.
Safety first
- Disconnect power before opening panels.
- Use only nickel-safe ice machine cleaner as the manual specifies.
- Sealed-system work is for an EPA 608 certified technician.
How it works
Batch cuber: water circulates over a refrigerated evaporator, then a harvest cycle releases the cubes into the bin. A bin-full signal stops production.
Delay function pauses the machine for slow periods or closed days; check it on a 'no ice' call.
Air enters on the right and leaves on the left with no side vents, so it can sit between cabinets; Manitowoc recommends about 5 in at top, sides and back but lists no required minimum.
Operating limits: ambient 40-110 °F, water 45-90 °F, water pressure 20-80 psi at the ice-making water inlet.
Connections: 3/8 in FPT ice-making water inlet and 1/2 in FPT bin drain; 115 V models come with a 6 ft cord and NEMA 5-15P plug.
