LG WT7800CW 5.5 cu ft top-load washer (impeller, TurboWash3D): quick sheet

Covers: WT7800CW (white) 27-inch 5.5 cu ft impeller top-loader. ENERGY STAR lists WT7800C* from March 2019; retailers now list it as discontinued. Do not confuse it with WT7800H*A, a separate 5.0 cu ft listing from September 2021. Matching dryers: DLEX7800WE (electric) and DLGX7801WE (gas).

How it works

The lid locks before wash and spin. The inlet valve fills through the dispenser paths while the pressure sensor tracks level.

A direct-drive motor under the tub turns the impeller for wash and the whole basket for spin; a clutch (shift) assembly switches between the two. Top spin is 950 rpm.

6Motion varies the impeller pattern; TurboWash3D sprays water over the load to shorten cycles.

Before spin the board checks balance; uneven loads, unlevel feet or tired suspension rods give UE and a cycle that keeps rebalancing.
