A 27-inch high-efficiency top-loader with no center agitator, TurboWash3D spray, a TurboDrum wash plate and LG's Direct Drive motor. Safety first

  • Unplug the washer and shut both water taps before opening any panel.
  • Drain the tub (and the pump filter on front-loaders) into a shallow pan before pulling hoses; water may be hot.
  • Live-voltage checks at the control or valve connectors are caution work: insulated probes, one hand, no jewelry.
  • Get help lifting: these cabinets weigh well over 100 lb on the spec sheets.

How it works

The lid locks and the control senses the load, then fills while reading the level sensor. TurboDrum turns the wash plate and basket in opposite directions; TurboWash3D sprays recirculated water onto the load.

A Direct Drive motor under the tub drives the wash plate; a coupling (clutch) locks the basket for spin. A coupling fault shows as d3 and a trapped object between plate and tub as E6 on LG top-load code lists.

Spin selections run Extra High to No Spin; LG lists the motor at 950 rpm maximum. Unbalance (UE) and lid (dE / dL) faults stop the cycle.
