Covers: WM4000HWA (white; LG spec sheets are titled WM4000H_A, so check the color letter on the label), about 2019 onward (approximate); LG Pro builder sheets dated 2024 and 2025 still list it.

Safety first

  • Unplug the washer and shut both water taps before opening any panel.
  • Drain the tub (and the pump filter on front-loaders) into a shallow pan before pulling hoses; water may be hot.
  • Live-voltage checks at the control or valve connectors are caution work: insulated probes, one hand, no jewelry.
  • Get help lifting: these cabinets weigh well over 100 lb on the spec sheets.

How it works

Fill, load sensing and Direct Drive operation match the WM3400CW. TurboWash 360 uses a circulation pump to spray water back into the drum through nozzles for short cycles.

Steam cycles feed water to a steam generator that injects steam into the tub; scale or a failed generator heater shows up as steam cycles that run without steam.

Top spin is 1,300 rpm with 5 spin selections. Error logic (LE, UE, dE, OE, IE, PE, tE) follows LG's front-load code list.
