GE Profile PDT715S (PDT715SYNFS) dishwasher: quick sheet
Covers: GE Profile 24 in top-control PDT715S* built-in dishwashers (SYNFS, SYVFS, SBNTS, SMNES and similar suffixes) with stainless tall tub, Piranha hard food disposer, bottle jets and Dry Boost with Fan Assist. Some suffixes add Microban or Wi-Fi; check the exact model.
GE's mid-upper Profile model: 16 place settings, 45 dBA, three wash arms plus bottle jets and a silverware jet system, a hard food disposer and Dry Boost with a fan. Diagnose it like other GE electronic dishwashers, with extra attention to the drying fan and the disposer blade.
Safety first
- Breaker off before panels come off.
- Close the water supply before valve work.
- Let the element cool.
- Glass collects at the disposer; wear gloves.
How it works
Wash: three wash levels (lower, middle, upper arms) plus up to 4 bottle jets in the upper rack and a silverware jet system. Wash Zone options let the user run only the upper or lower arms, so a 'rack not cleaning' call can be a zone setting.
Soil handling: the Piranha hard food disposer uses stainless impellers (listed at 3,600 RPM) to grind soil at the pump inlet, with a removable filter in the tub floor. Glass and bones still jam it.
Heat: a multi-wattage element (listed as 800/500 W) heats water and drying air; options include Sani (NSF certified), Wash TempBoost and Steam PreWash.
Dry Boost with Fan Assist: a fan pulls moist air out after the heated phase. GE claims plastics come out up to three times drier than heated dry alone. If dishes are wet only on Dry Boost, check the fan before the element.
