Frigidaire FLCE7522 / FLCG7522 27-inch laundry center (stacked washer + dryer): quick sheet
Covers: Frigidaire FLCE7522A* (electric dryer, e.g. FLCE7522AW) and FLCG7522A* (gas dryer, e.g. FLCG7522AW) 27-inch one-piece laundry centers: 3.9 cu ft top-load agitator washer below, 5.5 cu ft front-load dryer above. Very common in apartments, condos and rentals; current through the early 2020s.
A one-piece washer/dryer tower 76 inches tall and 27 inches wide. The washer is an agitator top-loader with a stainless basket and bleach dispenser; the dryer has 6 automatic plus 4 timed cycles and three heat settings. Typical calls: washer won't spin (lid switch), won't drain, dryer no heat (fuse/limit after a restricted vent), and drum noise.
Safety first
- Unplug before any panel removal; the electric version is 240 V.
- Top-heavy unit: move slowly with a helper and never climb on it.
- Gas model: no work on the gas valve, line or pressure; on a gas smell, ventilate and refer to a licensed gas technician.
- Never bypass the lid switch or dryer safety devices.
How it works
Washer: the lid switch must be closed for spin; fill runs through the inlet valve to the selected level (MaxFill raises it); the agitator washes, then the pump drains and the basket spins (retailers list 800-850 rpm).
Dryer (electric): the motor turns the drum by belt and runs the blower; heat is cycled by thermostats, with a thermal fuse and high-limit as safety devices.
Dryer (gas FLCG): an igniter, flame sensor and valve coils light the burner; gas-side work is referral only.
Both sections share one cabinet and one power connection (top center); the electric version needs 240 V.
