Frigidaire FFTW4120-series top-load washer: quick sheet
Covers: Frigidaire FFTW4120SW (and FFTW4120SW1 revision) 27-inch top-load agitator washer, a common value-line and rental-property unit sold roughly 2021 onward; some retailers now list it as no longer available.
A 4.1 cu ft (DOE) agitator top-loader with a stainless tub and a lid lock. It is a value machine: most calls are lid-lock no-spin, drain and unbalance complaints rather than control failures. Platform-level Frigidaire diagnostics are in the Frigidaire / Electrolux manuals; this family is a top-load agitator design, so use its own tech sheet.
Safety first
- Unplug before testing
- Never bypass the lid lock
How it works
The lid locks before the cycle continues; the washer will not spin, and per owner reports will not drain-spin, with the lid open.
Fill runs through the inlet valve to the selected level; the agitator drives the wash, then the drain pump empties the tub.
Spin ramps to about 680 rpm; a balance ring and suspension limit vibration, but unlevel feet and one-sided loads still cause stops.
