How it works

Wash: one circulation motor feeds a lower and middle Bi-Beam arm plus an upper spray arm. Water passes a stainless filter; a removable trap in the sump catches hard items and should be checked when the unit drains slowly.

Heat and dry: a tub-floor element heats water on the High Temp option and heats air for Heated Dry. With heated dry off, plastics stay wet.

Dishwasher detergent dispenser won't open (detergent left in the cup)

First rule out blocking dishes, caked detergent and an unfinished cycle. Then test the dispenser actuator (a wax motor or bimetal/solenoid on most units) for an open circuit, and check whether the control sends 120 V to it during the wash. A cup that opens but leaves detergent behind is a wash problem, not a dispenser problem.
