Frigidaire FDPC4314 24-inch front-control dishwasher (FDPC4314AS / FDPC4314AB / FDPC4314AW): quick sheet
Covers: Frigidaire FDPC4314A* built-in front-control dishwashers: AS stainless, AB black, AW white (ENERGY STAR lists the family as FDPC4314****). Built in Kinston, NC; sold from about 2021 as a builder/rental staple.
An entry-level Frigidaire with a plastic tall tub, 14 place settings (ENERGY STAR lists 12), 54 dBA, four cycles, five wash levels with three Bi-Beam style arms, a removable filter, a soil sensor and static-vent drying (no fan). Most calls are drain (i20), leaks and poor drying, which is often expected behavior on a plastic-tub, non-fan unit.
Safety first
- Breaker off before removing the kick plate; hard-wired units can be live at the junction box.
- Close the hot-water valve before touching the inlet valve.
- Let the element cool after a cycle.
- Never bypass the float switch.
How it works
Fill through the inlet valve (bottom left front) to the level limited by the float; a single-speed wash motor circulates water through lower, middle and upper spray paths.
A removable filter in the tub floor traps soil and must be cleaned by the owner; it is not self-cleaning.
A smart soil sensor and automatic temperature control adjust the Normal cycle; the element heats water and drying air. Drying is static vent (heat and residual moisture, no fan), so plastics stay damp.
Error i20 means the unit did not drain properly (Frigidaire support).
