Cove (Sub-Zero Group) DW2450 / DW2451 24-inch dishwashers: quick sheet

Covers: Cove 24-inch built-in dishwashers from the Sub-Zero Group: the legacy DW2450 (stainless or panel ready) and DW2450WS (with water softener), and the current DW2451 including the shorter DW2451/ADA (32-1/2 in. high). Handles (tubular, transitional, pro) and panels change the suffix only. Cove pages refer to the platform as 'DW24'. Read the rating label on the inner door edge for model and serial.

A premium tall-tub dishwasher on 115 V, 15 A with three spray arms (43 jets on DW2450, 45 on DW2451), a four-stage fine-mesh filter, 12 wash cycles, Wi-Fi and LED lighting. Its control shows six-digit fault codes grouped by system (for example 30 01 37 leak in base, 80 01 40 drain, 25 01 13 flowmeter, 20 01 42 heater did not turn off) with 'Call Service' on the display. Cove's standard owner step for every code is a 30-second breaker reset and retest, plus cleaning the sump filter for drain and filter codes; real repairs are usually the drain pump and air break, a leak into the base, the flowmeter, the heater circuit or the control board.

Safety first

  • Breaker off before reaching under the tub or opening the junction box (115 V with a heater circuit: caution).
  • Turn off the water before disconnecting the supply line.
  • Re-secure mounting screws after service so the unit cannot tip.

How it works

Fill: water enters through a 3/8 in. compression connection on braided tubing (Cove asks for 30-140 psi), passes a flowmeter, and the control counts the volume. A flowmeter fault is logged as 25 01 13.

Wash: a circulation pump feeds three spray arms; water is filtered through a four-stage fine-mesh filter at the sump. Cove logs a sump-filter maintenance reminder (30 01 14) asking the owner to clean the filter.

Heat: a heater (HTR1 in Cove's naming) warms wash water; the control checks that it turns on and off as commanded. 20 01 42 means the heater did not turn off when it should, a code that needs service, not a reset loop.

Drain: a drain pump pushes water through the air break and a corrugated drain tube. 80 01 40 is logged when the pump runs too long or a secondary pressure check cannot confirm the tub has drained.

Leak protection: a float (FLT1) in the base detects water and logs 30 01 37 (leak in base detected). Power interruption during a cycle logs 98 01 99, and firmware mismatch between control modules logs 90 01 12.
