Bosch 800 Series SHPM88Z75N (CrystalDry) dishwasher: quick sheet
Covers: Bosch 800 Series pocket-handle SHPM88Z75N and siblings with CrystalDry; sold approx. 2019-2023 (inferred from listing dates; Bosch now lists it as no longer available).
Bosch's 800 Series with CrystalDry: 16 place settings, 40 dBA, three racks and a stainless tub. The difference from the 500 is the drying system: a zeolite mineral pack in the base that releases heat as it absorbs moisture. That adds a drying fan and a zeolite heater to the parts list, and their faults show as drying codes.
Safety first
- Turn off the breaker (or unplug) before removing the toe kick or any panel; a hard-wired unit can still be live at the junction box.
- Close the hot-water supply valve before touching the inlet valve or supply line.
- Let the unit cool after a cycle: the heating element, heater housing and water can be hot enough to burn.
- Sump and filter areas often hold broken glass; wear cut-resistant gloves.
- Never bypass the float, flood or leak switch to make a unit run; find the source of the water instead.
How it works
Fill, wash, sensing: same Bosch heat-pump platform as the 100/500 (flow meter, heat pump with built-in heater, Aquasensor, NTC).
CrystalDry: during drying a fan moves moist tub air through a container of zeolite mineral in the base. Zeolite absorbs water vapor and releases heat, which warms the tub air and dries plastics better than plain condensation. In a later wash, a heater in the zeolite container drives the moisture back out so the mineral is ready again.
PureDry and options: the unit also lists PureDry, and options Half Load, Delicate, Sanitize, Eco and Crystal Dry. Programs: Heavy, Auto, Hand Wash, Normal, Speed 60, Rinse.
Leak protection: base-pan float and pump-out. As with the 500, the product page conflicts on AquaStop; check the supply hose.
