Asko dishwasher: field service manual
Covers: Asko 24 in built-in dishwashers sold in the US with F-code displays. Code meanings below are for the common F1-F7 set; newer generations may use different formats. Check the model's own code list.
A premium Scandinavian build with a stainless tub, a heating element under the tub, a main circulation pump, a separate drain pump, a three-stage filter (coarse, fine, micro-mesh), a float switch for overfill and a base-pan float for floods. Water temperature is the classic Asko call: F1 often turns out to be lukewarm supply water, not a failed heater.
Safety first
- Power off at the breaker before removing the toe kick or reaching the element terminals.
- Water off before disconnecting the inlet hose.
How it works
Fill: the inlet valve (with a mesh screen at the hose connection) fills to level. On level-controlled models a slow or failed fill sets F4.
Overfill protection: a float in the tub opens a switch at high level (F2). A float in the base pan detects leaks.
Wash: the circulation pump feeds the spray arms through the three-stage filter.
Heat: the element under the tub heats the water while a thermistor reports temperature. If the target is not reached within about 60 minutes, the control sets F1. A thermistor fault sets F3.
Drain: the drain pump empties the tub through the hose to the sink waste or disposer. A restriction sets the drain code (F7 on the common code set).
Dry: residual heat plus a drying fan on many models; rinse aid matters on a stainless tub.
