Bosch's entry 100 Series pocket-handle unit with a stainless tub and Polinox base, 14 place settings, about 50 dBA, no third rack and no AquaStop. It shares the Bosch heat-pump design (pump and heater in one part under the tub) and condensation (PureDry) drying with higher Bosch series, so most diagnosis carries over from the Bosch platform manual.

Safety first

  • Turn off the breaker (or unplug) before removing the toe kick or any panel; a hard-wired unit can still be live at the junction box.
  • Close the hot-water supply valve before touching the inlet valve or supply line.
  • Let the unit cool after a cycle: the heating element, heater housing and water can be hot enough to burn.
  • Sump and filter areas often hold broken glass; wear cut-resistant gloves.
  • Never bypass the float, flood or leak switch to make a unit run; find the source of the water instead.

How it works

Fill: the inlet valve opens and a flow meter counts water into the tub. There is no water softener on this model. Low supply flow or pressure shows up as fill codes.

Wash: the heat pump under the tub circulates water to the lower and upper spray arms and heats it with a flow-through heater built into the pump. There is no exposed element in the tub, so dishes can sit anywhere in the lower rack.

Sensing: an Aquasensor (turbidity) reads water cloudiness on Auto and Normal, and an NTC sensor reads water temperature. The control lengthens or shortens the cycle based on both.

Drying: PureDry is condensation drying. A hot final rinse heats the dishes, and moisture condenses on the cooler stainless tub walls. Plastics often stay wet; that is normal for this design, and rinse aid matters.

Leak protection: a float in the base pan (Bosch calls it the 24/7 overflow protection) runs the drain pump and stops the cycle if water collects in the base.
