U-Line 1000 and 3000 Series undercounter beverage centers and wine units: quick sheet
Covers: U-Line built-in 24-in and 36-in beverage centers and wine captains: 1000 Series (e.g. 1224BEV) and 3000 Series (e.g. 3024BEV, 3036BVWC dual-zone). Older units and ice makers are not covered.
Front-venting undercounter units common in wet bars and remodels. The 3000 Series uses forced-air (convection) cooling rated about 34-70 F; the 1000 Series uses passive cooling and holds only about 34-45 F, so a 1000 Series unit will not do warm wine temperatures. Many calls are door-seal or condenser issues; persistent codes go to U-Line Customer Care.
Safety first
- Disconnect power before removing the grille.
- Sealed-system faults are blocked (EPA 608).
How it works
A compressor and evaporator cool the cabinet; on 3000 Series a fan circulates air for even shelf temperatures. The control runs the compressor from a cabinet sensor.
The condenser breathes through the front grille, so the unit can be fully built in; the front grille must stay clear.
Display codes on U-Line units include communication and sensor faults (No Comm, Zone T Open/Short) and long high / low temperature alarms; on wine units E3 usually means the door was left open too long.
