Samsung DVE45T6000-series electric dryer: quick sheet
Covers: DVE45T6000W (white) and DVE45T6000V (black stainless) 7.5 cu ft electric dryers with Sensor Dry, the match for WF45T6000, about 2020 onward (Samsung spec sheets revised 2023). Gas siblings are DVG45T6000*.
A 27-inch front-load electric dryer without steam: simpler than the R6100 (no water valve) but with the same heat path, sensors and drum support layout. Deep diagnostics: see the Samsung DV dryer field service manual.
Safety first
- Unplug the dryer (240 V circuit) before opening the cabinet; both legs of the breaker must be off for any hands-in work.
- Let the heater box cool; elements and ducts stay hot for several minutes after a cycle.
- A blown thermal fuse is a symptom, not a root cause: clear the full vent run before returning the dryer to service.
- Gas versions (DVG / DLG / DLGX) share the drum and airflow parts, but the gas valve, burner and gas line are blocked: diagnose, shut the gas off if you smell gas, and refer to a licensed gas technician.
How it works
Belt-driven drum, blower, open-coil heater and thermistor-controlled heat cycling, with moisture bars ending Sensor Dry cycles.
The high-limit thermostat and thermal fuse protect the heater path; repeated fuse failures mean the vent is restricted.
