LG OLED C-Series (C1 / C2 / C3 / C4): quick sheet
Covers: LG OLED C-Series 4K: C1 (2021, e.g. OLED65C1PUB), C2 (2022, OLED65C2PUA), C3 (2023, OLED65C3PUA) and C4 (2024, OLED65C4PUA); sizes 42-83 in by year (LG product page, LG C1 spec sheet, mounting and review references).
The best-selling premium OLED family in the US. Self-emissive panel (no backlight), 120 Hz native, four HDMI 2.1 ports, webOS. Typical calls: lines or spots (often cured by Pixel Cleaning), no power / no standby light (power board), and panel damage that is usually not economical to repair.
Safety first
- Unplug the set and wait several minutes before opening the back: the power-supply primary capacitors can hold a dangerous charge after unplugging.
- Power-supply and LED-driver checks with the set plugged in are caution work: insulated probes, one hand, no jewelry, and never touch the primary (hot) side.
- Lay the panel face-down only on a clean, padded, flat surface; open-cell panels crack from twisting or pressure on the glass.
- Two people for 55-inch and larger sets; lift by the frame, never by the screen.
- Use ESD protection when handling the main board and T-con; the flat flex cables tear easily.
How it works
A power board feeds the main board and the panel's own driver boards (T-con and source drivers on the panel). There is no backlight: each pixel emits light, so 'no picture with sound' points at power rails, T-con or panel, not LED strips.
The set runs short compensation routines when switched off after use and a longer Pixel Cleaning (pixel refresher) periodically or on demand; faint horizontal or vertical lines during that process are normal.
webOS handles inputs; HDMI 2.1 features (4K 120 Hz, VRR, ALLM, eARC) are per-port settings.
