Frigidaire FFHS2622M 26 cu ft side-by-side refrigerator: quick sheet
Covers: Frigidaire FFHS2622M* (MS stainless, MW white, MB black, MQ/MM finishes) 26 cu ft 36-inch side-by-side with exterior ice and water. Parts catalogs show many production revisions (for example MS0-MS3, MSA, MSC, MSF, MSG). Years approx. 2010s (inferred from revision suffixes and retailer listings; no official launch date found).
Frigidaire's long-running builder-grade side-by-side. A single water valve feeds both the ice maker and the dispenser, so a valve fault stops both at once. Parts-site repair pages list leaking as the most common complaint, followed by ice maker and cooling issues.
Safety first
- Unplug the refrigerator (or switch off its circuit) before removing covers, fans, heaters, sensors or the machine-compartment panel.
- Shut off and bleed the water supply before opening the water valve or ice maker fill connections; have towels ready.
- Never chip ice off an evaporator with tools: a punctured coil is a sealed-system failure. Thaw with power off, a forced defrost, or gentle steam/warm air (no open flame, no heat gun near plastics).
- Live-voltage checks at the main board or inverter board are caution work: insulated probes, one hand, no jewelry.
- Sealed refrigerant system (compressor replacement, leak repair, recharge, brazing) is blocked: confirm the symptom, protect the food, and refer to an EPA 608-certified technician.
How it works
Single evaporator behind the freezer rear panel; freezer air reaches the fresh food through a damper/air path. Sealed-system work is referral only.
Defrost: heater under the evaporator with a defrost thermostat, controlled by an adaptive defrost control (ADC) on electronic revisions or a timer on older ones; confirm on the tech sheet.
One water inlet valve feeds the ice maker and the door dispenser through a supply tube; the filter sits at the back of the fresh-food compartment.
