Frigidaire FCRE3052A 30-inch electric range: quick sheet
Covers: Frigidaire FCRE3052A* freestanding glass-top electric ranges (AS stainless, AW white, AB black, plus fingerprint-resistant variants) and the near-identical FCRE3052B* follow-on. Approx. 2018-2024 (inferred from retailer listings).
A 5.3 cu. ft. manual-clean (no self-clean) builder-grade range widely used in rentals and new construction. It has a Quick Boil 3,000 W element, a dual element at right front, a center warming zone and Frigidaire's even-baking control. Because there is no self-clean, there is no door lock motor, which removes a whole class of failures; most calls are elements, sensor (F30/F31 family) and keypad/control codes.
Safety first
- Turn off the range breaker (both legs of the 240 V circuit) before removing any panel; unplugging the cord is not always possible on a pushed-in range.
- Glass cooktops stay hot well after the hot-surface light goes out; let the unit cool before handling elements or the control.
- Install or confirm the anti-tip bracket every time the range is pulled out and pushed back.
- Live voltage checks at the relay board or terminal block are 240 V: use insulated probes and keep one hand clear.
How it works
Cooktop: each radiant element is driven by an infinite switch; the right-front dual element switches its outer ring in at the larger setting. The warming zone is a low-wattage element with its own control.
Oven: the electronic oven control reads the RTD sensor and cycles the bake and broil elements through relays. With no self-clean there is no lock motor and the oven runs lower peak temperatures, which is easier on the sensor and control.
Codes follow Frigidaire's F-number family: F10 (runaway temperature), F11 (shorted key), F30/F31 (sensor open/short). The control drops heat when it sets most F-codes.
