Chamberlain retail belt-drive openers B4613T (3/4 HPS, PLUS Lift) and B970 (1-1/4 HPS, MAX Lift): quick sheet
Covers: Chamberlain retail DC belt-drive openers with built-in myQ Wi-Fi and battery backup: B4613T (PLUS Lift, rated as equivalent to 3/4 HP, integrated LED lighting, Bluetooth setup) and B970 (MAX Lift, rated as equivalent to 1-1/4 HP). Same Chamberlain Group platform as LiftMaster units of the era; for the B6765 / B4643T see the LiftMaster/Chamberlain belt-drive quick sheet.
Home-center openers with a DC motor (soft start and stop), a steel-reinforced belt, myQ Wi-Fi and a backup battery. The HP figures are 'equivalent' lifting ratings, not motor nameplate horsepower. Battery-backup beeping, myQ and sensor calls dominate. Deep diagnostics: trolley opener field manual and the opener diagnostic-codes guide.
Safety first
- Springs and cables: inspection only, refer to a trained door technician.
- Retest reversal after any adjustment.
How it works
DC motor with soft start and stop drives the trolley through a steel-reinforced belt; quieter than chain.
Backup battery in the motor head runs the door during a power outage. The B4613T sheet states about 3 days of standby with a full charge and normal use. A beeping opener usually means the battery needs replacing.
Security+ 2.0 radio and built-in myQ Wi-Fi; the B4613T also offers Bluetooth setup.
Timer-to-close is offered in the app; it requires the safety features described in the timer-to-close guide.
