Samsung DV45H7000 dryer (7.4 cu ft, 2014-2018 era): quick sheet
Covers: DV45H7000EW / DV45H7000GW (gas twin) and color variants, H = 2014 model letter; Samsung's US spec sheet dated 2018 still lists it. Listed as discontinued. Note: often quoted as 7.5 cu ft, but Samsung's sheet says 7.4.
Older 27-inch Samsung dryer with nine presets, Sensor Dry, three temperatures, 4-way venting, not ENERGY STAR. A common out-of-warranty call now: rollers, idler, thermal fuse and heater. Deep diagnostics: Samsung DV dryer field service manual.
Safety first
- Electric dryer: 240 V. Unplug or turn off the 30 A breaker before any panel comes off.
- Never bypass the thermal fuse, cutoff or high-limit, even for a test.
- A blown thermal fuse is a symptom: inspect and clean the whole vent before returning the dryer to service.
- Gas DVG twins: gas-side work (valve, line, burner) is for a licensed gas technician; electrical checks only with gas OFF and the unit unplugged.
How it works
A single motor turns the drum by belt and runs the blower; heat (element or gas burner on the DVG twin) is enabled through relays on the main board.
Thermistors in the heater and exhaust ducts plus moisture bars let the board run Sensor Dry and stop on dry loads.
