Known issue: GE JP3030 radiant cooktop burner stays on after the knob is off (recall)

GE Appliances recalled about 11,000 GE JP3030 30-inch knob-control electric radiant cooktops made July to September 2022 (models JP3030DJ4BB, JP3030SJ4SS, JP3030TJ4WW, serials beginning LT, MT, RT or ST within listed ranges). Misaligned knob stems and broken knob parts can leave a burner on after it is turned off. The remedy is a free replacement burner knob assembly installed through GE.
