Zephyr wall, island and under-cabinet range hoods (ICON Touch, internal 600 CFM class): quick sheet
Covers: Zephyr ducted hoods with ICON Touch or button controls and internal blowers, e.g. Luce, Roma, Anzio and Ravenna families (5-speed 600 CFM class) and higher-output Spire-type 1,200 CFM models. Controls and reset steps differ by model; always confirm in the model's manual.
Zephyr hoods are common in mid-range remodels. Most service calls are not failures: a flashing filter light, a Clean Air cycle that turns the hood on by itself, or a delay-off that keeps the fan running. Real failures follow the usual hood pattern: no display (power / control board), lights OK but no fan (blower plug, motor, capacitor), and weak draw (duct problems).
Safety first
- Breaker off before removing filters or covers.
- Live voltage checks are caution steps.
- Discharge any capacitor before testing.
- Gloves for sharp sheet metal.
How it works
A touch control panel talks to a power / command board that switches the blower speeds and LED lights. Zephyr's first fix for a blank or frozen panel is a 5-10 minute breaker reset.
A filter reminder counts fan hours (about 30 h on many models) and flashes an 'F' or arrow until reset; the reset method varies (hold a fan button about 3 s on some, hold FAN- with power off on others).
Some models have a Clean Air feature that runs the hood 10 minutes every 4 hours (shown as a flashing 'A' then '1'), and a delay-off that runs the fan for a set time after cooking.
Airflow Control Technology (ACT) lets the installer cap maximum CFM (for example to 290 or 390 CFM on 600 CFM models) to meet local makeup-air rules; a capped hood will feel weak on high.
