TV wall mounting: studs, VESA, cable routing and in-wall power

Choose a mount that matches the TV VESA pattern and weight, anchor it into studs (or masonry anchors on brick/concrete), and hide cables only with in-wall-rated cable or a recessed power kit. Running the TV power cord itself inside the wall is not an accepted practice under the electrical code: use a listed in-wall power kit or a new outlet installed by an electrician where required.
