Replace the freezer ice maker module (Whirlpool / GE style)

Most Whirlpool and GE freezer ice makers are a self-contained module held by two or three screws and one harness plug. Prove the freezer temperature, supply, valve and fill tube first. Then unplug, remove the module, transfer the base plate, ground wire, thermal fuse or bracket as the design requires, re-seat the fill tube in the fill cup, and run a harvest test.
