Ice Makers

Known issue: Frigidaire / Electrolux ice maker level arm breaks into the ice (2022 recall)

In June 2022 Electrolux recalled about 367,500 refrigerators (13 Frigidaire models and one Electrolux model, sold April 2020 to March 2022) because the ice level detector arm can break and fall into the ice bucket, a choking hazard. Affected models include side-by-side FRSS23 and FRSS26 families, multi-door PRMC2285AF and ERMC2295AS, and top-freezer FFHI1835VS, within listed serial ranges. The remedy is a free technician visit to replace the ice maker with one that has a polypropylene level detector.
