Field pattern: dishes wet at the end (rinse aid and drying design, not always the heater)
Many dishwashers, especially Bosch and other European-style units, dry by condensation: the hot final rinse heats the dishes and water condenses on the cooler tub. Plastics hold little heat, so they stay wet, and without rinse aid most loads stay wet. Techs check rinse aid, cycle options and loading first; ordering a heater for a machine that has no exposed drying heater is the wrong turn.
