Field pattern: Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer leaking at the front (lid not coming down: rear strap, hose support and lid actuators before the seal)
The lid inside the cabinet must be pulled down onto the tub by motors on each side; if anything keeps it from coming down, water sprays past the perimeter seal. Techs find broken rear straps or hose supports that jam the lid, failing lid actuators and worn seals, plus drips from hoses under the drawer that look like a lid leak. The wrong turn is replacing the seal alone without finding why the lid is not seating.
Before you start
- Switch off power at the wall or breaker before removing the drawer or lid parts
- Do not force a drawer closed against a stuck lid; it damages the seal and lid mechanism
