Electric dryer runs but no heat
Most electric no-heat calls come down to supply voltage (one breaker leg), a blown thermal fuse from a restricted vent, a tripped high-limit, or an open element. Always fix the airflow cause, or the new fuse will blow again.
Before you start
- Live 240 V measurements are a caution step: use insulated probes, one hand, and stay clear of terminals
- Unplug or switch off the breaker before removing panels or disconnecting any part
- Never bypass a thermal fuse or high-limit
