Dishwasher steam or condensation wetting the countertop or cabinets
Some steam is normal at the end of a heated cycle. Damage happens when moist air escapes where it should not (door not sealing, unit not level, gaps in the cutout) or lands on an unprotected countertop edge. Check level and door seal, check mounting and clearances, then protect the counter with the manufacturer's moisture barrier. Change how and when the door is opened after a cycle.
Before you start
- Turn off the breaker before pulling the dishwasher out to adjust feet or brackets
