- Dishwasher: Door edge, visible with the door open.
- Refrigerator: Left interior wall of the fresh-food section or interior door frame.
Reading the model number
BSH labels show the model as E-Nr and a production code as FD (4 digits).
Manufacture date from the serial number
Cross-checkedUse the FD number: take its first 2 digits, add 20, drop the leading 1 -> last 2 digits of the year (works for FD 80-99 = 2000-2019). The next 2 digits are a month or week of production (sources disagree).
EXAMPLE ONLY: FD 9507 -> 95 + 20 = 115 -> 2015; '07' = July or week 7.
Year rule confirmed by two sources. Second pair (month vs week) not resolved. How codes after 2019 roll over was not confirmed.
